Best homegrowns: Familiar faces ball out in week 6

In the ELF, numerous homegrowns form an important pillar for their respective franchises. In this segment, we take a look at the top perfomers of week 6.

Tobias Bonatti, running back, Raiders Tirol

The dynamic running back has long been a familiar face in this list. Once again, he proved his worth in week 6 against the Barcelona Dragons. During the 32-0 victory, Bonatti put up a whopping 196 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

On multiple runs, the austrian displayed his cominbation of speed, vision and elusiveness. For the Dragons' defenders, it was a long day at the office. With 570 yards, Bonatti is currently third in rushing yards league-wide.

"Bonatti is my MVP of the week", said ELF-expert Matt Bressington in Monday's episode of "ELF Live".

Noah Toure, wide receiver, Vienna Vikings

The Vienna Vikings can also count on one of their Austrian homegrowns. Wide receiver Noah Toure was unstoppable during the 37-25 win over the Panthers Wrocław. He put up eleven catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns.

The chemistry with quarterback Ben Holmes was on point, giving the Panthers' secondary fits all day long. Toure has now accumulated 436 receiving yards in just five games.

Hugo Tekedam, wide receiver, Paris Musketeers

Sometimes, it only takes a few plays to make a big impact. Hugo Tekedam finished the game againts the Cologne Centurions (Paris won 60-25) with three catches... for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Paris continues to impress in a stacked Western Conference and Tekedam is one of the reason for their success. The big-play threat is up to 341 receiving yards in four games and it only took him 13 catches.

Pass rush, Stuttgart Surge

This one may seem odd at first glance, but stay with me! The Surge pass rush is peppered with homegrown talents. During their impressive 50-7 victory over the Helvetice Mercenaries, multiple homegrowns (like Felix Födinger, Sadik Busch and more) found their way to the quarterback.

In total, the Surge collected four sacks and held the opposing offense to just one touchdown.

Darren Okoeguale, linebacker, Frankfurt Galaxy

On the weekend, Frankfurt Galaxy celebrated a hard earned win over the Hamburg Sea Devils (24-18). One of the main reasons for the victory: The relentless play by linebacker Darren Okoeguale.

The 23-year old was all over the field againts the Sea Devils, contributing with crucial tackles (eleven in total), three tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a sack.
