In the European League of Football, it is worth taking a look at the young players and homegrown veterans. Every year, new faces emerge who prove their strength and inspire the fans locally. After two weeks, a few stand out in particular:

Gerald Ameln

After winning the Championship Game in 2021 with the Galaxy, Ameln went on to play for the Hamburg Sea Devils, transferring to the Cologne Centurions in 2023. Now, in 2024, he seems to found his rhythm again. The 22-year-old already has three touchdowns in two games, dominating against the Enthroners on Sunday. Ameln is one to look out for.

Noel Swancar

At just 20-years of age, Noel Swancar is a force to be reckoned with. The inside linebacker is coming out of the Vikings academy, while having played his first game in the ELF in 2023. There, he played in two games, recording 1.5 tackles for loss and four tackles. In his second year, Swancar seems to have got a permanent role in the team. In game two, Swancar had five tackles and two tackles for loss behind a great defensive line.

Louis Geyer

Louis Geyer stands for the Stuttgart Surge like no other. The Rookie of the Year in 2021 and last year's 2nd Team All-Star is indispensable. He also made a big splash for the Surge against the Panthers in Week 2, receiving for 121 yards and a touchdown. Alongside Mayr, Geyer is as dominant as ever.

Radim Kalous

Two outstanding touchdowns on just three receptions against the Berlin Thunder and a touchdown against the Hamburg Sea Devils show Kalous' class. The 25-year-old wideout, who previously played for the Vikings, is showing in his first season back home that he is one of the most important parts of his team.

Mario Flores

Playing for the Barcelona Dragons in 2021 and 2022, Mario Flores had a short stint in the GFL, before coming back into the ELF. Now, for the Madrid Bravos, Flores seems to be the right man for the job. The wide receiver had two touchdowns against his former team and is looking towards adding more.

Bais Kouanda

138 yards and a touchdown against the Prague Lions added to the great start Bais Kouanda had to the 2024 season. Joining the Thunder in 2023 from the Sea Devils, the 22-year-old is showing great athleticism and route running as a slot receiver for the Thunder.

Kenny Floret

After having a great second half of the season last year, Kenny Floret started furiously against the Hamburg Sea Devils in week 2. As a safety, he interrupted the only few chances for the North Germans - laying great hits on the opposing wideouts.
