Dragons forfeit second half against Munich

An early end to the game: The Barcelona Dragons have elected to forfeit the second half of their home game against the Munich Ravens in Week 7 of the European League of Football.

Barcelona was down by 0-54 when they decided not to come back to the pitch. On Friday the Dragons had decided to part ways with their Head Coach David Shelton.

"For the safety of the players"

The European League of Football reacted immediately with a statement:

"The European League of Football has noted with great surprise and dismay that the Barcelona Dragons players have decided not to play in the second half of today's game against the Munich Ravens. The ELF immediately contacted the ownership group and the General Manager of the Barcelona Dragons. As the team was outnumbered, increasing the risk of injury, the decision was made for the safety of the players."
