Madrid Bravos get back on track with a crucial win over Galaxy

Madrid Bravos (4-1) make a statement against the Frankfurt Galaxy (2-3)

The Madrid Bravos responded after a loss to the Rhein Fire last week with a dominant home win against the Frankfurt Galaxy, beating the visitors 46-15 in a vital Western Conference matchup.

The Galaxy struggled offensively all day as quaterbacks Luke Zahradka and German passer Mortiz Maack both struggled both throwing interceptions at key moments. After Frankfurt took the lead in the first quarter, the Bravos responded as a combination of running back Dwayne Obi and a crisp passing game led by Steven Duncan began too catch fire.

Duncan finished the day with with 292 yards and touchdown pass, completing a 63% of his passes. Duncan did a excellent job spreading the ball out, as six recevers caught passes from him tonight. On the ground, both Dwayne Obi and Edu Molina scored from short yardage helping the Bravos rout the visiting Galaxy.

The Bravos defense played perhaps its best game of the season, scoring on two pick sixes and causing an impressive four turnovers on the day. Ex-Galaxy player Jalen Embry scored a interception return touchdown late in the fourth quarter against his old team, adding to an already lopsided score.

For the Galaxy, they will look to bounce back and improve on what's been a dissapointing first half of the season with a win against the Cologne Centurions at home next week. Meanwhile, Madrid hopes to beat their rivals the Bacelona Dragons next Sunday and move to 5-1.
