The early games on Sunday had a lot of competitive football to offer. Berlin Thunder celebrated a win in Hungary, while Paris secured an important victory in their own stadium against the Hamburg Sea Devils.

Berlin Thunder (4-3) at Fehérvár Enthroners (0-6) 47-0

Berlin Thunder are keeping their chances of making the playoffs alive with an unchallenged 47-0 win against the Enthroners.

The German side relied on a difficult-to-stop mix of a variable running game (running back Tim Schulz collected 154 rushing yards and three touchdowns) and quick passes in the short passing game, even spreading in some Wildcat formations.

Meanwhile, the Berlin defense stifled any offensive efforts by the Enthroners. The pass rush came through regularly and put pressure on quarterback Jack Mangel, who rarely found a target in the passing game. The running game was also barely able to provide any relief.

Next week, Berlin has to travel to Paris to face the Musketeers, the Enthroners will face the Prague Lions.

Hamburg Sea Devils (2-3) at Paris Musketeers (4-1) 18-41

In a hard-fought game, Paris took control at the start, dominating the time of possession and setting up several long scoring drives, while keeping Hamburg's offense in check.

It seemed as if the Musketeers had everything under control… until the final minutes of the first half dawned.

Following a big catch by wide receiver Klaas Sengstacke for 66 yards, the Sea Devils found their way into the end zone for the first time. A Paris fumble deep in their own half gave Hamburg another shot at a score. Luckily for the French side, safety Amir Kilani broke up a pass in the end zone with time running out, securing a 14-9 lead for Paris at the half.

In the second half, the Musketeers extended their lead and ran away with it. Meanwhile, Hamburg's offense was too dependent on big plays and unable to find a rhythm - also due to a strong defensive performance by Paris. 

Paris quarterback Zach Edwards put up another great perfomance, completing 20 out of 26 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 47 yards and two more touchdowns.

In the upcoming week, Hamburg will host Rhein Fire for a German matchup, the Musketeers will welcome Berlin Thunder to their city.
